ASANA X SPIRITUALITY X JOY

Sadhana

means devoted practice, a quest.

“Sadhana is not just a theoretical study of Yoga. It is a spiritual endeavor.”

– B.K.S. Iyengar

IS IT TIME TO DEEPEN, RE-JUICE, RE-COMMIT TO YOUR YOGA PRACTICE?

Alignment based, classical, functional asana can empower your life with stability, compassion, and balance at the root level. Combined with affirming philosophy, spirituality, and community connection, your yoga practice can be a true sanctuary – a source of inner strength and guidance.

Sadhana Support Collective is an online yoga school for the sincere seeker.

It’s a self paced program rich with both functional and mystical depth that can change your life.

Combining sadhana with “support collective” underscores the liberatory, relational understanding that when we engage in our own inner embodiment practices within supportive community, individual and collective healing both are catalyzed, nourished.

These are challenging times. May we be resourced and resilient!

Sadhana Support Collective is a trauma-informed sanctuary designed to meet you where you’re at, to help you experience that gifts of committed, compassionate yoga practice. You are so worthy of care and support, as you lean into the courageous path of discovering YOUR yoga.

Sadhana Support Collective

If you love embodiment, functional asana, spirituality, queer joy, and need some TLC, this is for YOU!

Have you found that despite loving yoga, you haven’t been able to keep it up as deeply as you want? Do you feel discouraged and like you don’t have capacity, time, or energy? Maybe you’ve been turned off by the racist, classist, cis-het fitness norms in mainstream yoga. Or you keep getting hurt, or aren’t sure how to progress into subtle, more advanced work. Do crave yoga space that doesn’t make you feel (once again) like an outsider?

Sadhana Support Collective warmly welcomes all, while centering queer and trans wellness.

“Avery’s yoga classes leave me feeling grounded, inspired, and at peace in my body.

I’ve been dealing with long covid for about a year, and yoga with Avery has been one of the most important parts of my healing process.

I really don’t know where I’d be without their library of incredible video classes. I feel connected to queer and trans community even when I watch the recordings. Avery’s teachings have helped me be at peace in my body even when I’m in pain and love myself through every part of my healing journey. Thank you for everything you do. So much love!”

This flexible, intimate program has been crafted with intention in response to what our beloveds, friends, students going through. The user friendly structure is geared to help you:

Learn to love your body and be in your body. Know deeply how a tangible source of happiness and peace is inside—and therefore within reach, without any reliance on external conditions or consumption.

Learn about your body, mind, and nervous system to empower feeling better through functional anatomy and asana. Progress in your asana practice through stability, alignment, and skillful depth.

Fall in love with the bigger system of yoga beyond just asana (poses) and joyfully experiment with how to connect inner practices with “off the mat,” living your yoga.

Less pain, more mobility and strength. Inner space, self compassion, awareness. Finally center your own care, learn how to *actually rest,* and know that you are worthy of such nourishment.

Discover for yourself the unexpected ripple effects of committed embodied spiritual practice in your life, work, projects, activism, relationships.
Gain confidence and skill in speaking your truth, engage creatively with new perspectives, and learn in a group of folks who share your values.

Increase your ability to take clear loving action, so you can stop feeling stuck in habitual reaction, pushed around by the world. Learn to trust your path, and let go and move on when needed.

Sleep better, enjoy better breath—more regulation, balance, ease, satisfaction amidst the stresses and unknowns.
Experience less body pain and fatigue, less mental turmoil, less emotional overwhelm.
Access clarity and VITALITY for the why and how you serve, show up, give, and receive.

TESTIMONIALS

When I am in Avery’s class, I know there is a welcoming space for all of me to enjoy being in my body, breath and awareness. I feel safe and able to build my capacity to be with change.

Green (she/they)

As a person who has felt deeply other in my life, being queer and gender different, it has been hard for me to find connection in yoga classes. Now I have found a new depth through Avery’s deep knowledge of asana and the connection of the spirit/body/mind.

Bob (any pronouns)

Avery’s purity of intention allows the work to be clean and clear. This has been a wonderful experience of discovery in my body.

D.P. (she/her)

I wanted to let you know how happy I am that I joined Sadhana Support Collective! Even without being able to be present live, the membership feels like such a great support for my practice. So nourishing for my (hypermobile, dyspractic) body and (chaotic) mind!!!

Lotte (they/she)

Avery’s classes are queer and trans centering, BIPOC affirming, and lineage accountable.

Sarah Nahar (she/they)

My gender and my queerness are so central to who I am, and yoga can bring me back to myself in times when I’m struggling or feel lost. Even when I’m practicing alone, I can feel the larger community and their love and support.

I provide an alternative to mainstream yoga culture, so that you can deepen in this joyful, fun, healing practice and benefit from its profound potential. With over 2 decades of dedicated study, I have a wealth of practical wisdom and rare teachings that I am so excited to share with you.

Thank you for supporting my small, queer trans anti-oppression oriented business and growing with me, in community!

FAQ

My timezone/schedule/life means I can’t attend the live sessions. Will this mean I miss out on the good stuff?

No! Many members primarily or exclusively use the on-demand materials and enjoy amazing results.

I don’t have time to add in much more—so I’m worried I’ll be too busy to show up for all the things and get behind and not make use of the content enough.

Sadhana Support IS for you! The whole concept of the membership is to support you where you’re at—it’s NOT a course with a deadline; there’s no pressure.

In Sadhana Support we are actively creating a culture around releasing FOMO, shame, and perfectionism.

You can tap in when you like . . . sometimes more, sometimes less. Yes, you’ll benefit more when you practice more consistently. But the whole idea of practice is that we ebb and flow. We fall off and get back on. No one is expected to do ALL the things. Like any membership, you aren’t expected to use everything—after all, you aren’t meant to watch ALL the Netflix content or use ALL the gym facilities—you go and use what you like, when you like, as works for you. That’s the beauty of a lifelong yoga practice—it grows with you. And Sadhana Support is designed to help you deepen this long-term relationship.

I’m shy. Do we have to be on camera in the live classes?

Nope! Feel free to have your camera off. And other than the workshops which sometimes have discussions, students are not recorded in the replays.

I have an injury/chronic condition. Can I still do the classes?

Yes! Avery has decades of experience working therapeutically and has helpful, deeply informed ways to make asana not only accessible but a remedy to help you heal and reduce suffering.

They teach through a comprehensive framework of functional anatomy and a trauma-informed lens. They welcome requests, questions, and check-ins!

Avery can also help you find the best type of class to join. Classes range from very relaxing and restorative to rigorous and challenging!

You’ll be in good hands.
